CJSA’s West Coast branch is celebrating its first birthday this month . We started the branch with tremendous enthusiasm and after a needs assessment, our Social Worker, Melanie van Emmenes worked with passion to build the branch. Initially welcoming guests speakers on two Thursdays every month, members eagerly attend the gatherings to socialise and make friends . Fortunately we have managed to secure a third morning where the group enjoy different crafts and other activities of interest. Juggling our vehicles to enable each branch to go on outings is not easy, but where there’s a will there certainly is a way and West Coast members recently enjoyed their first outing. A group enjoyed a sociable morning at Giraffe House – the first of many happy outings for the branch. As you can see by the photos they bravely got into the swing of things by embracing the huge reptiles at Giraffe House.
