CJSA Friendship Forum and the Cape Town Holocaust Center hosted a special afternoon . Mr Julian Schragenheim recently donated a remarkable collection of artifacts and documents to the Cape Town Holocaust centre. Mr Schragenheim arrived with his family from Germany in March 1914 and brought the collection, which dates back to the mid 19th century, with him.
Mr Schragenheim told the story of his family in conversation with the Centre’s Heritage CO – ordinator, Michal Singer . A number of the rare documents and items were displayed and members of the Friendship Forum, CJSA members as well as interested community members attended and enjoyed the interaction with this remarkable man.
