Shifra Says – Herzlia Variety Show

Jewish Care Cape (JCC), the umbrella body for the seven Jewish welfare organisations & The Students for Jewish Care (SJC) and the Association for Musical Pupils (AMP) collaborated to produce a concert of high calibre for the appreciative residents of Highlands House, Glendale and Astra. The Herzlia Variety show was conceived by Saul Bloch as a dual opportunity, offering aspiring performers an opportunity to give something back to the community by presenting their talents, and providing community members with superb entertainment. Over fifteen acts were presented, ranging from solo singing to piano and bass guitar performances. The gracious audience from Highlands House, Glendale and Astra enjoyed the high quality items produced by the talented, enthusiastic and altruistic students. These students demonstrated g’milut chasadim. A special thank you is extended to the Herzlia Sound Team for their wonderful technical input and sound production and to Asher Woolf for his organisational assistance.

Jewish Care Cape facilitated and organised the programme with the help and support of Highlands House, Saul Bloch from Student Jewish Care at Herzlia and Karen Cohen of Herzlia. Performers and audience clapped and sang, a joyous event for all. Thank you to everyone that made it possible.
